Here are some tips for creating a great hanging basket or container this summer. The first is the use of artificial soil consisting mostly of peat moss. Good soil such as Favard or Pro Mix uses perlite, peat, and other ingredients to produce soil that will not compact during the summer. Real garden soil accumulates and turns into concrete under the pressure of regular watering. When that happens, the plant roots stop growing because they require good open spaces to move in and absorb nutrients. Hard, compact soil doesn't make good plants, so don't use real soil in your containers. The artificial planting soil was reused from year to year. I get rid of him from fate. Finally, regardless of the size of the container, it is important to soak it to the bottom at each watering. Continue watering until the water comes out of the bottom of the pot. This ensures that the roots reach all parts of the pot and grow properly.
